In the run-up to the conference Ägyptologische „Binsen“-Weisheiten V, an interdisciplinary and international workshop organized by the aKU prject took place from April 9–10, 2024. In a stimulating atmosphere, we were able to exchange ideas on the topic „Unveiling Egyptian Handwriting: Digital Approaches to Paleographic Analysis“. From April 11–13, 2024, the Mainz Academy Project on Ancient Egyptian Cursive Scripts (AKU) organized the international conference Ägyptologische „Binsen“-Weisheiten V at the Academy of Sciences and Literature in Mainz. The conference, themed "Characteristics, Developments, and Interdependencies in the Hieroglyphic-Hieratic Writing System", gathered 50 colleagues on-site, with additional participants joining digitally.
